Euro-2012: victory or defeat?

Despite that the championship is already almost ended, the debate devoted to it, only gathers forces. The matter is that all ruling branches were from now on divided in two – one consider that "Euro-2012" became a huge failure of Ukraine, others – that is a strategic victory of the country.

As the vice-prime minister of Ukraine declared, Sergey Tigipko, the championship became a victory, despite of everything. «The matter is that in our country extremely difficult is to business – here practically there are no long-term investment projects,» – speaks to Tigipko. – «therefore we are simply obliged to think of investing money in prestige of the country, in its future!». Thus, the Deputy Prime Minister considers that a main objective of the championship was to declare itself and to pave the way for future (the truth, nobody says that when they will be) projects. That, in principle, also it was successfully made. Therefore Tigipko congratulated Ukraine on a strategic and investment victory!

Other politicians have a bit different opinion. They counted that the championship will manage to bring to the country money – cash and right now when the country strongly in them needs in a type of crisis situation in the world and the country in particular. From this point of view, certainly, we suffered full breakdown, after all "Euro-2012" and for a half did not pay back the money spent for it.

The third at all counted on a victory of our team in the championship. However, those was not so much. Whether to consider the world championship on the football, carried out in the territory of Ukraine and Poland as achievement and a victory or a failure? Experts declare that it is impossible to consider fully it as loss, after all Ukraine left on qualitatively new level, however and a clear victory brag we we can not that, in general, is a consequence of bad image earlier received excessively.
